City Parks & Nature.
I absolutely love being outside in green spaces, especially in urban environments. I live across the street from a large NYC park where I spend a lot of time walking, reading in nature, exploring the trails, meditating, and cycling. It’s a great way for me to reconnect with my community, my environment, and myself.
Sailing.
I grew up near the Hudson River and my dad would often bring us to the marina. I participated in clubs that sailed on the Hudson and learned a lot about water sports and the natural world. I’ve been on some beautiful sailing trips in Italy and the British Virgin Islands. I have a goal on my vision board of owning a boat soon, and naming it after my late grandmother.
Faith & Spirituality.
I pray and meditate daily, and attend church every Sunday. For me, science and spirituality are connected through my awe at the way things were created. Spirituality is also a big force for wellness and community in my life. I regularly connect with other churchgoers, and every other week we have dinner and pray together.
Athletics.
When I was young, I trained as a figure skater and earned a yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do. These days I love running races, riding my Peloton, and participating in team sports. Working out is also a way for me to connect with friends, and I do strength training a few times a week with my local gym community.
Good Times.
My friends and family would probably tell you that I love making simple moments memorable. I love traveling, going out with friends, creating adventures, or turning a regular picnic into a dance party. I’ve always had a wide range of interests. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pop star and took guitar lessons for years. I also love books, tv, and podcasts, especially about True Crime. Personally, I’d love to be a podcaster, but I’m still looking for the right idea!
