A Little About Me

  • I'm so excited to be alive at this moment in history.

We are in a pivotal moment. The technologies emerging right now give us the potential to reimagine so many aspects of society. I’m deeply grateful to be part of a time in history when so much innovation is possible.

  • My goal is to become the best version of myself.

Life is precious, and I want to spend mine doing things that push me to keep growing and doing better. I put myself in situations that can be challenging or uncomfortable because that’s the only way to find out what I’m really capable of.

  • I’m driven to create environments where women feel a strong sense of belonging in STEM.

I was raised in a South Asian family that followed a lot of traditional gender roles, and I didn’t always fit the expectations. Sometimes, I felt like I was “supposed” to do certain things in my personal and professional life because of stereotypes about women’s roles. I want to work towards spaces where no one feels discomfort or pressure to act a certain way because of their gender.

  • I’m constantly asking myself: “where can I make the most impact”?

Whatever I’m doing, I try to be intentional about how I use my time and energy. I’m always looking for opportunities to make a difference in my communities, whether that’s through making connections, exchanging ideas, or creating new solutions.

  • I love making connections.

I pay attention to the way things work around me, and if I notice something that could be better, I look for ways to help. Often, I find the best way is to build new connections – between people, between ideas, or between communities. For example, I work in a large company where it can be hard to keep track of everything our colleagues are doing, so I started leading a talk series where we can regularly share our ideas and initiatives with each other.
